Wintergreen Plaza along Rockville Pike continues to see changes, with several previously announced businesses still on the way and additional movement reflected in the shopping center’s latest leasing information.
Cold Stone Creamery and Great Clips are both still listed as coming soon, more than a year after they were first announced. Cold Stone is slated for the long-vacant space near Paisano’s, while Great Clips is expected to open in the former Fantastic Sams space.
Caring Hands Animal Hospital will be expanding its footprint at the shopping center, taking over the neighboring space that was the longtime home of Ten Ren Tea. Ten Ren Tea closed in April 2026.
There has also been movement involving another storefront in that section of the plaza. The space between Tropical Smoothie Cafe and the upcoming Great Clips is now listed as “at lease,” although the future tenant has not yet been announced. The space between Great Clips and Food Lion remains available.
The latest changes follow a number of additions for Wintergreen Plaza in 2025 and 2026. Hey Tea opened at the shopping center after drawing significant attention for its colorful, fruit-forward tea drinks and long lines at other locations.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe also opened in the former Capital Cryo space, while ACE Hardware took over the large former Gold’s Gym space.
