Update: Detectives Investigate Bonifant Street Homicide

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday, March 5, 2023, in 900 block of Bonifant St. At approximately 10:17 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for a check the welfare call. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male deceased, in a car, with an apparent gunshot wound.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death. Currently, there is no suspect in custody. This an active and ongoing investigation. The name of the decedent will be released following proper notification of next-of-kin.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-455-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers can remain anonymous.
