The Pre-Civil War Oak Tree At Lone Oak Farm Brewery Has Fallen After Sustaining Damage From High Winds

The pre-Civil War “lone oak” white oak tree at Lone Oak Farm Brewery has fallen after sustaining damage from high winds the last two days. Lone Oak Brewery made the announcement on their social media this morning after losing their farm’s namesake. Below is the statement by Lone Oak (video tribute below that):

“Dear Friends and Supporters, It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the loss of the Lone Oak tree, the namesake of our farm. This tree, which has stood for generations as a symbol of strength, resilience, and beauty, fell last night after sustaining damage from heavy winds.

The Lone Oak is a symbol of our commitment to preserving the history of our American forefathers. It represents the very essence of what we strive to be – rooted in the land, dedicated to quality, and devoted to our community. With grateful hearts we thank God for the countless blessings that the Lone Oak has provided and draw inspiration from the enchanting thought of the centuries-old stories it has witnessed. Nature reminds us of the basic truth that life has its seasons, and in it, all things come to an end. Therefore, we are called to appreciate what we have, while we have it.

Moving forward, we will continue to embody the values and traditions the Lone Oak tree represents. We will work to protect the natural heritage of our home and the surrounding farmland. We thank our community for the continued support and love we have received over the past few years. May the memory of the Lone Oak tree live on in the hearts of all those who had the chance to know and love it. Stay tuned as we plan to preserve the legacy of this tree by repurposing its wood throughout the farm.

Sincerely,

The Lone Oak Family”
