Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Police- 4th District Investigations Section are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in the 2700 block of Spartan Road in Olney. Detectives have released video surveillance of a vehicle of interest and suspect.
The initial investigation has revealed that a white Ford Fusion with minor front end damage was observed in the bus turn-around of the parking lot at Brooke Grove Elementary School. Multiple individuals were observed in and around the vehicle. An unknown Black male suspect, who was observed outside of Ford, discharged a firearm multiple times and then left the scene on foot. No one was injured during the shooting. The vehicle was then seen driving away from the scene. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
Detectives are urging anyone with information regarding this shooting or the suspect(s) involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s). Callers may remain anonymous.
