Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a crash on Arcola Avenue and University Blvd. West at approximately 12:30pm on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, “At approximately 12:32 p.m., 4th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of Arcola Ave. and University Boulevard W. for the report of a single-vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation has determined that the driver of a pick-up truck was driving south on Arcola Ave., when for reasons still under investigation, left the roadway, hitting multiple trees, near the intersection of University Blvd. W. The adult male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this fatality.”
