“Icy Road Conditions” Cause Several Collisions on University Blvd; 7-8 Patients Evaluated

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) have responded to several collisions on University Blvd E in the area of E. Indian Spring Dr. due to icy road conditions,m around 8pm on Tuesday night, according to MCFRS PIO Pete Piringer.

According to Piringer, some lanes are currently blocked and 7-8 people are being evaluated following the collisions. 3-4 people are being transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. In a later update, Piringer stated that the icy conditions could be due to a water main break in the area. The icy road conditions continue at University Blvd in the area of E. Franklin St near Eastern Middle School and some lanes remain blocked.
