Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a fire in the bedroom of a single-family home on the 10800 block of Childs St. in the Burnt Mills neighborhood in Silver Spring at approximately 9:15am Sunday morning.
According to Assistant Chief David Pazos, units arrived to find all occupants outside of the home with no injuries. Units were able to quickly extinguish the fire, but three families/five adults have been displaced. The Red Cross has been contacted to assist.
