Rockville Pike has reopened after a police investigation closed MD-355 Rockville Pike in both directions between Bou Avenue and Rollins Avenue/Twinbrook Parkway for most of Saturday morning.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown stated earlier this morning that “Investigators with our Independent Investigations Division (IID) are on the scene of a police-involved fatal collision in the area of Rockville Pike and Twinbrook Parkway in Montgomery County.”

According to Pugh, the crash, which included a rollover, occurred at approximately 2:20am on Saturday. In a 10:03am update by MCFRS Assistant Chief David Pazos, “Units on scene found two occupied vehicles with one being a rollover. Both vehicles required extrication to remove their occupants.”
