A Rockville man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for raping a woman at the Hilton Garden Inn on Shady Grove Rd back in May, 2022.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “Today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable Bibi Berry sentenced defendant, Arash Khosh to life in prison suspend all but 50 years and five years of supervised probation upon release. Khosh will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
On February 15, 2024, a jury convicted Khosh on charges of first-degree rape, home invasion, and second-degree assault.
On May 15, 2022, at the Hilton Garden Inn located in the 14000 block of Shady Grove Road in Rockville. Khosh forced his way into the hotel room of a 70-year-old victim and sexually assaulted her. The victim was unknown to Khosh. Her husband was on the first floor of the hotel at the time having coffee waiting for the victim to meet him for breakfast.
Assistant State’s Attorneys Mary Herdman and Donna Fenton prosecuted this case.”
