Several Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) units responded to 14800 Southlawn Ln. near E.Gude Dr. in Rockville for a gas leak on Wednesday morning.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the leak (rupture) occurred at the M Luis commercial/industrial building. It was caused by excavation equipment (bobcat) accidentally striking a 3/4″ gas line. Per Piringer, the leak is being temporarily controlled by MCFRS.
