Bullis Grads to Compete in Same Heat of Women’s 100m Hurdles on Friday

Fresh off of the impressive showing by 16-year old Bullis High School rising junior Quincy Wilson at the U.S. Olympic trials, MoCo and Bullis are now rooting on two Bullis alumnae who will compete in the women’s 100m hurdles this Friday night.

Bullis shared the following on Wednesday, “We have another Bulldog to cheer on in the U.S. Olympic Trials! Bullis alum Masai Russell ’18 takes on the Women’s 100m Hurdles in Round 1 this Friday, June 28, at 8:28 p.m. EDT on Peacock and NBC.” Masai Russell is a Potomac native who graduated from Bullis in 2018 and Kentucky in 2022.

The school then shared the following, “Let’s rally, Bullis community—the exciting news keeps coming! It appears to be a Bullis reunion at the U.S. Olympic Trials! Bullis alum Leah Phillips ’20 also takes on the Women’s 100m Hurdles in Round 1!Both alums, Leah and Masai, compete in Heat 2 this Friday, June 28, at 8:23 p.m. EDT on Peacock and NBC. We are sending you both the best of luck!” Leah Phillips is from Port Tobacco, MD and graduated from Bullis in 2020 before moving on to LSU.
