Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) and Maryland State Police responded to a crash on the inner loop of the between Colesville Rd. and University Blvd. early Friday morning when a passing driver crashed into several emergency vehicles.
While the emergency units were responding to the crash, which occurred at approximately 3am in the area of exit 29, collision, the driver struck the emergency vehicles and one firefighter who was transported to the hospital. Other Maryland State Troopers and firefighters are okay, and some lanes were blocked prior to the morning rush.
