Escape the Bookshop III is a group puzzle game that is based on a real crime that took place around 100 years ago with connections to Takoma Park. It is designed and created by HouseMouse to be played in our atmospheric bookshop. This is a unique escape room experience and makes for a memorable evening out with friends or family!

Lafayette Federal Credit Union invites you to Food Truck Friday, a free community event filled with delicious food, great company, and local flavor, happening on Friday, September 12th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at their Falls Grove Branch (14933-A Shady Grove Road, Rockville, MD 20850).

This free event is open to the public and offers the perfect midday break. Swing by to grab lunch from a local food truck, mingle with neighbors, and soak up the summertime energy in a laid-back, fun-filled setting.

It only took 53 donors to spark a brand new funding stream for local LGBTQ+ nonprofits.

In just six months, those neighbors’ gifts to the Fund for Queer Causes, a queer-advised fund housed at a local Community Foundation, have already powered $6,000 in unrestricted grants to three small, local nonprofits: Trans Maryland, Safe Space NOVA, and 360 Health X. Each one is queer-led, deeply rooted in the community, and often overlooked in traditional philanthropy.

We are Montgomery County STEM Volunteer Program, a group of retired and working STEM professionals who volunteer our time to go into schools to bring the real world of STEM into the classroom. We are an educational non-profit organization (501c3) that works directly with MCPS to place suitably qualified STEM professionals with teachers in elementary, middle and high schools. We would be interested in getting the word out to your readers to consider joining our program to help teachers and students get a better appreciation of STEM subjects and how they fit into our everyday lives. They would be making a valuable contribution to the next generation of scientists, technology professionals, engineers and mathematicians.
