The Comus Inn at Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson is temporarily closed after being purchased by new owners.
According to their website, they will re-open this summer after “transforming The Inn into this new, absolutely amazing, family-friendly, community-driven, agritourist destination for both dining & play!”
Topgolf Germantown has “soft” opened today!
The entertainment and event venue in Germantown (20101 Century Blvd) consists of a fun point-scoring golf game for all skill levels, a full restaurant and full bar, music, and more.
Updated on January 13th to include a deli as a potential replacement for Zoe’s.
Zoës Kitchen will close its Park Potomac location, leaving the Germantown location as the lone Zoës in MoCo. A source close to the situation tells us that a new sushi restaurant or deli is deep in talks to come to the shopping center and could be eyeing the Zoe’s Kitchen space. Zoës in Park Potomac will close on January 24th.
NBC’s Saved by The Bell reboot will have MoCo ties
Back in January it was announced that Mark-Paul Gosselaar has completed a deal to revive his role as Zack Morris in Peacock’s forthcoming Saved by the Bell (Peacock is NBC’s streaming service).
MoCo was buzzing yesterday as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was in town for a meeting at the Total Wine headquarters in Bethesda. The Rock posed with many excited employees and fans before and after his meeting, which was about getting his Teremana Tequila into Total Wine stores this March.

Last month we featured Rockville restaurant Los Primos as a MoCo hidden gem. It didn’t take long until many more noticed, as the restaurant has been included in a list of the “Top 100 Places to Eat in the United States, According to Yelp.”
Forbes released an article on based on Yelp data (ratings, number of reviews, etc.) used to create the ultimate bucket list of places to eat across the country.
Home accessories chain Pier 1 Imports announced that it would close hundreds of stores around the country last Monday.
Today we spoke with both MoCo locations (Rio in Gaithersburg and Pike Center in Rockville) and were told that both locations would be closing.
Doghaus to Open Kentlands Location on January 25th
The first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena, CA in 2010. 8 years later, they opened their first east coast location in Bethesda (7904 Woodmont Ave).
Dr. Bobby Mozafari, a 2001 graduate of Sherwood High School, opened his clinic in Olney back in 2014 so that he could deliver quality chiropractic care to many of his friends in his hometown.
2020 brings a new start for Dr. Mozafari and his office, as they’ve moved down the road to Laytonsville. Now located at 6860 Olney Laytonsville Road, next to the Office Cafe & Lounge, the insurance based clinic is ready to roll.

Recently we discovered that the restaurant will be owned and operated by the folks who have brought you Taco Bar (in the gas station in Rio) and Ixtapalapa in Gaithersburg!
