The Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA) has voiced profound concern over disruptions to educator pay, stemming from issues with Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) new payment platform, MCPS Hub+. The union has filed a class action grievance against the school system in response to ongoing problems, the latest of which has left some employees without timely compensation. The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has shared that three men have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted carjacking that took place during an online sale arranged through Facebook Marketplace.

King Arthur Baking Company at the Shops at Wildwood, located at 10207 Old Georgetown Rd has announced it will hold its grand opening on Saturday, August 2. This space, formerly home to Indigo Octopus until June 28th, will mark King Arthur Baking’s first location in Maryland. Indigo Octopus is relocating to Bethesda Row.
