Beyond MoCo

Earlier this year, The Capital Wheel at National Harbor relaunched with an all new, $1M light package with significant technological upgrades. The 180-foot iconic observation wheel now has additional lights allowing more dynamic light shows with high-speed animations, custom messages and vibrant displays.

Bethesda

Bethesda is set for a sweet summer with the arrival of a new King Arthur Baking Company pop-up at the Shops at Wildwood, located at 10207 Old Georgetown Rd. This space, formerly home to Indigo Octopus until June 28th, will mark King Arthur Baking’s first location in Maryland. Indigo Octopus is relocating to Bethesda Row.

Eater DC has recently updated its list of “Best Pizza Places in DC” and the list includes four standout restaurants that can be found in Maryland. Maryland

Montgomery County passed legislation in 2024 to address environmental, noise, and health concerns related to gas-powered leaf blowers and vacuums. Sales of gas-powered equipment have been banned since July 1, 2024, and the ban on their use officially begins this Tuesday, July 1, 2025. (more…)

The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) announced today that customers may request Maryland birth and death certificates at three additional branches: Glen Burnie, Beltsville, and White Oak. The service is already available at MVA- Gaithersburg in Montgomery County.
