House Fire in Dickerson Tuesday Evening
A house fire on Big Woods Rd in Dickerson Tuesday evening caused more than $1 million in loss/damages, according to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer.
There will be a food distribution event today, November 24, between 1-2:30pm at 19001 Watkins Mill Rd in Montgomery Village.
They ask that you please remain in your vehicle while groceries are being delivered.

Be sure to bring your camera to capture memorable holiday photos. Meet animal characters who benefit from clean streams, pose for pictures with the City’s newly painted snowplows and a beautifully decorated police car, write a letter to Santa, sing along to holiday songs with the Gaithersburg High School Band, and enjoy exhibits of diverse decorations and traditions.
ABC7/WJLA has announced that Doug Hill, former chief meteorologist at the station, passed away Monday night in North Carolina.
Doug Hill covered the weather in the DC metropolitan area for over 33 years before his retirement in September 2017.
Due to staffing shortages, Montgomery County Public Schools is now allowing weekly COVID-19 testing for staff, according to Bethesda Beat. Previously, MCPS said they would terminate any employee not fully vaccinated by October 29, unless they provided a medical exemption.
MCPS will now allow unvaccinated employees to submit a negative COVID test on a weekly basis, or face disciplinary action up to and including termination, according to a letter sent to MCPS staff.
