Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) chief spokesperson Pete Piringer shared on Thursday the story of crews from the Aspen Hill station resuscitating a young child who was in cardiac arrest due to nearly drowning recently.
According to Piringer, Recently, FS725 (Aspen Hill) responded to a reported pediatric cardiac arrest. Bystanders and family had pulled a child from a pond and began resuscitative efforts prior to the crew’s arrival. The child was resuscitated due to combined efforts from the bystanders, family, and MCFRS, and was transported to the hospital with priority 1 trauma (life threatening). The child has since made a full recovery.
