Gaithersburg: The Carousel at Rio is Now Open

Rio Lakefront has announced via social media that ‘The Carousel at rio’ is now open.

The Americana-themed classic carousel features 30 Allan Herschell-style dancing horses, whimsical creatures, and two chariots, allowing for up to 38 adults and 30 children passengers, with wheelchair access and chariot wheelchair positions.

It’s located next to the playground at Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg.

Admission:

$6 unlimited rides
Adults ride free with a child under 42″

Hours:
Through April 3: Saturdays and Sundays 10am-Dusk
April 4 – June 10: Monday-Friday 3pm-Dusk, Saturdays and Sundays 10am-Dusk
June 11- September 5: Daily 10am – 9pm
September 6 – October 26: Monday-Friday 3pm-Dusk, Saturdays and Sundays 10am-Dusk
October 27 – December 18: Saturdays and Sundays 10am – Dusk

The paddleboats also recently announced they will be open on weekends.
