Greene a Turtle Germantown (19961 Century Blvd) has closed permanently.
We received confirmation from Greene Turtle in Burtonsville earlier today.
The restaurant was originally listed as temporarily closed after it was shut down by Covid, but has since been removed from the Greene Turtle website and deleted its Facebook page.
Greene Turtle Germantown is also now listed as closed permanently on Google.

No big loss.
They should also close the Urbana location. Very poor, unprofessional, and inept management, who won’t even listen to a customer’s side of the story in a complaint about service.
Same owner as the Germantown location
where will anyone go to not watch a game while half the tvs are “broken”
$20 for a frozen, electric grilled burger and crappy fries, no loss there.
Many of the Germantown locals are extremely saddened by the permanent closing of our favorite local sports bar. Although it needed some management improvement, it was the only decent local bar left in the area that provided a fun, affordable place to socialize, a family friendly atmosphere, as well as offering trivia nights, & hosting tv sport events. Green Turtle will be greatly missed by many!
This restaurant chain was the saddest, worst food I’ve ever eaten. Thank God for natural selection. God riddance.
While the service has been below average and the food average at best, it was the only place to watch sports in the area. And it was where my wife and I first met so it’s very sad to us.
