Montgomery Village Center Update
Lot’s of progress being made at the Montgomery Village Shopping Center.
The fencing has been taken down at the new Centerway Rd. extension. Centerway Rd. now connects to Watkins Mill Rd. The newly opened portion of the road does not yet have lanes painted.
We were told by business owners that the construction was holding up the Montgomery Village Animal Hospital and the Floor Tile & Carpet store from moving to their newly built locations in the center.
The animal hospital’s last day at its current location will be May 5th and they hope to be open at the new location by May 10th.
Moe’s Southwest Grill will be moving into the spot currently occupied by the animal hospital.
Signage went up today for the new Montgomery Village Beer Wine & Lottery store located 10003 Stedwick Rd. No opening date confirmed yet. This will be the second beer and wine store in the center.
The remodeling of the Big Lots is moving ahead of schedule. Originally we were told the store would reopen in June but representatives from the Germantown location tell us it could be open as early as two weeks from now.

Nice looking lounge area in front of the 7-Eleven.
Little Island Kitchen at 10003 Stedwick Rd. tell us they expect to be open within the next three weeks.

That “lounge area” is going to be a crime magnet. It’s an invitation to teens to hang out in front of a store with a reputation for being where teens get beer. Pfui!
