Olney Crab House is coming soon to the location that used to be home to The Olney Tavern (18200 Georgia Avenue).
We know that the business had their liquor license hearing earlier this week (photo sent in by Mark Hajjar), so if all goes as planned, we expect it to open in early 2020.
Though our featured image shows a sign we created, we do assume that crabs will be a big part of what the Olney Crab House has to offer.

Hopefully they have good prices
Hopefully the parking has improved, we liked the Olney Tavern, but parking was awful
Hopefully, they will have a menu option of “all you can eat crabs.” Also, I hope that they follow Maryland guidelines on true sizes of crabs and charge accordingly.
plenty of parking 100 ft. north of restaurant in the Olandwood Office Park parking lots which are wide-open after 5 pm.
So excited! We need a good crab house, there aren’t any remotely close to this area.
We will surely become regulars.
Hope the crabs are as good as the ones from J&T Seafood in Woodbine, across from the Woodbine Inn.
This is great news for Olney. Looking forward to a “Grand Opening”.
Any idea whether they’re still planning to open?
It’s been a year. I can’t find anything about them or potential opening anywhere. Is the crab house in Olney still going to happen @mocoshow?
