Signage has been installed at 24B Vital Way in Silver Spring (Colesville) for carry out / delivery only restaurant Sweet Block. Sweet Block will offer tropical desserts along with traditional treats only found in the streets of various Latin countries.

New Starbucks in Gaithersburg Update
Construction on the new Starbucks at the Spectrum in Gaithersburg is progressing. The location is expected to open by the end of the year.

A 17-year old has been charged in connection with the death of a man that was shot on August 18th at the Plum Gar Recreation Center in Germantown. The adult victim was 20-year-old Axel Trejos.
