Kuhns Offer to Donate White’s Ferry to Loudoun County to Expedite Its Reopening

White’s Ferry owners Chuck and Stacy Kuhn have offered to donate the ferry business and assets, valued at $4.5 million, to Loudoun County, VA after Montgomery County recently declined a similar offer, as part of their ongoing effort to reopen the historic Potomac River crossing. On April 11, officials from Maryland, Montgomery County, and the Town of Poolesville offered a $3 million financial incentive to the ferry and Virginia landing site owners to help resolve the long standing dispute and reopen the ferry, which has been closed since 2020. Arrest Made After Victim Was Stabbed, Pepper-Sprayed, and Struck with Skateboard At Metro Station

On April 18, 2025, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Rockville City Police responded to a reported stabbing at the Rockville Metro Station, 250 Rockville Pike. A 39-year-old male victim had been involved in a verbal altercation with two juveniles that escalated when he was pepper-sprayed, stabbed in the back, and struck multiple times with a skateboard.
