Poolesville: Bassett’s Moving Closer to Reopening

by MCS Staff

Last month we let you know that Bassett’s, at 19950 Fisher Avenue in Poolesville, will be reopening this spring under new ownership.

The restaurant has a beer, wine, and liquor license hearing at 9:30am on Thursday, April 14th.

New owner Erika Myers signed the lease this at the end of January and let us that she hopes to be open by the end of April. The restaurant is currently undergoing a remodel and deep cleaning.

Myers worked at Bassett’s for over 15 years before leaving to open Rio Grande Grill in Germantown in 2020. She said that they will keep a lot of the same menu as well as add new items and weekly specials.

Bassett’s, which opened in 1993, closed its doors on December 31 of last year. Bassett’s previous owners, who owned the business the past three years, cited the pandemic and the closing of White’s Ferry as the reason the restaurant went out of business.
