The new drive-thru Starbucks in the Kentlands was approved by the city of Gaithersburg back in 2018, wbut it took a little time for construction to get started.
If you frequent the area, you may have noticed things are moving fast. Signage is now up and the exterior is nearly complete.
Though we don’t have an opening day at the moment, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it ready to go by the end of the year.
The current Starbucks location will close when this new location opens and we’ve heard rumblings that a local coffee shop might take its place, but for now there is nothing confirmed on that end.
