These tournaments are a fun way to shine a little light on local restaurants. We urge you to support your favorites and consider refraining from badmouthing any restaurant. Voting takes place in the @TasteMoCo Instagram story, and each round lasts for 24 hours. The result of every matchup can be found in the “Best Pizza” highlight.
We included every restaurant that was nominated. We did not include any restaurant that has most of its locations outside of MoCo, unless it started in MoCo. If a restaurant isn’t included, it’s for one of the two reasons mentioned.
Stained Glass Pub (Glenmont) vs. Armand’s Pizza (Rockville)
Both restaurants have two locations, one in MoCo and one out. Stained Glass Pub has a MoCo location in Glenmont and one in Elkridge. They used to have an Olney location as well. Armand’s Pizza has a MoCo location in Rockville and one other location at Bethany Beach in Delaware. They used to have locations across the county and DMV.

How did Giuseppi’s lose to Armand’s?
Was this whole thing sponsored by Armand’s? There’s no way it should beat Giussepies, Potomac Pizza, CSNY, etc. It’s neither a good deep dish nor normal pizza
I absolutely cannot believe Ledos is not in this tournament.

Why? It’s a competition for best pizza…not the best piece of cardboard with ketchup and cheese on it.
That said, several of these places are no better than Dominoes, Pizza Hut, or Papa John’s.

Armands doesn’t have a Dewey Beach location, they are in Bethany Beach. Don’t recall a Rockville location but recall Montgomery Hills and NW DC

Umberto’s? No? Best pizza by far around Olney. It should have been included.
Jerry’s should also be on the list, given how few are left. It’s certainly better than Armand’s.
Come to think of it, Jeffry’s Pizza in Burtonsville should also have been featured, and ideally should have an article highlighting it.
Jeffrey’s was in. The other two were not nominated.
Inquiring minds that don’t do Insta want to know: Who the heck won? If it isn’t Stained Glass I suspect rigging.

I can’t take this seriously. Continental is one of the most disgusting pizza pies I have ever had. Stain Glass is fine if you have to eat something to survive.
How is Manny and Olgas even in this list? I barely had a decent slice since moving here from NY. Frankly’ is just about the only place worthy of mention. I think people Need to get out more and discover what pizza actually tastes like. I mean, Continental! Really? Yuck
