Tastee Diner Bethesda Temporarily Closes, Organizes GoFundMe for Staff
The Tastee Diner in Bethesda has announced that they will be temporarily closing on Tuesday, December 15th at 2PM due to the new executive order that bans indoor dining at Montgomery County restaurants. To help support their staff members they’ve started a fundraiser through gofundme, which as of Tuesday has raised over $22,000.
The fundraiser states:
“The Montgomery County, Maryland government has decided to shut down “indoor dining” as of Tuesday, December 15th at 5pm.
The Tastee Diner will be closing its doors at 2pm on December 15th, temporarily. We hope to reopen as soon as they remove this Executive Order.
The COVID-19 situation we are facing right now is truly difficult and scary for us here in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Since our employees are not working, pouring your coffee, serving your meals and helping brighten your day, they need your help.
If you have a few extra dollars to share, we are collecting funds to share amongst the staff to help them survive this temporary shutdown. Any amount will help.
We do appreciate all your previous donations during the initial Maryland state shutdown.
Tastee Diner would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe Holiday!
Thanks for all of your help!
We will really miss all of our customers!
