Personal finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2022’s Best & Worst Cities at Money Management. Montgomery County’s Chevy Chase came in at #12 on the list, which includes municipalities and major areas across the United States.
Additional Montgomery County areas are included and searchable within the list.
A water main break has closed two lanes of southbound Connecticut Ave at Jones Bridge Rd in Chevy Chase, according to Montgomery County Emergency Management.
WTOP reports that traffic is currently getting by on the left lane.
Irish-themed restaurant The Hunter’s Hound at 5471 Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase opened for business this past weekend. The restaurant will be closed for the next week due to the holidays, according to a message on its website, and will reopen on December 28th.
“Dear Friends, We had a fabulous first weekend and we can’t thank you all enough for such a warm welcome! As we were delayed so much on the opening, our staff had made plans for Christmas and as a result we will be closed for the rest of the week. We will reopen for full business on Tuesday, December 28th at 4pm. From all of us, to all of you, have a great and safe holiday and we will see you next week.”

&pizza was founded by Michael Lastoria and Steve Salis (Ted’s Bulletin, Federalist Pig, and Ensemble) in 2012 with their first location on H Street in D.C. The growing chain now has over 36 locations across the east coast including MoCo locations in Bethesda, Gaithersburg (Crown), Germantown, Pike & Rose, Silver Spring and a second Gaithersburg location coming soon.
BusyBees Chevy Chase will be closing its doors permanently on January 1st, 2022, according to an email sent out to customers this evening.
The children’s play space opened in Chevy Chase back in 2017 after opening in Falls Church in 2015, but states that staff shortages have made their brand unreliable. BusyBees previously closed it’s Fairfax Corner location.
WSSC is at the scene of a water main break at Elm St and 44th St in Chevy Chase.
Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer reports that MCFRS is checking nearby homes for any hazards.
Update: Adrienne Julia Burfield was located safe and unharmed.
