MoCo’s first Amazon Fresh looks almost ready to go at Collection Chevy Chase next to the Friendship Heights Metro stop. The grocery store will be taking over the location that was previously home to Giant at 5463 Wisconsin Avenue.

The interior looked fairly close to being ready, but the exterior seems completely ready to go with signage up and shopping carts present at the grocery store (photos below). No opening date has been provided yet.


Katie Ledecky Has Now Won More Gold Medals Than Any Other Female Swimmer in History

Bethesda raised Katie Ledecky won the gold medal Friday at the Tokyo Olympics in 800m women’s freestyle. In total, Ledecky has won seven gold medals across three Olympic Games. Ledecky has now won more individual gold medals than any other female swimmer in history.


Per Montgomery County:


Mike Tyson’s 18,244-square-foot former residence on Persimmon Tree Road at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda has sold for $4.57M, according to CBS Baltimore. Tyson purchased the home in 1995 with ex-wife Monica Turner for $2 million. Turner kept the property after their 2003 divorce.

The home sits on 2.4 acres and has seven bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, and a basketball court. The home was originally listed for $8.5M in May, 2020.


Haagen Dazs will close its Bethesda Row location on July 31st, according to an employee at the shop.

The ice cream shop, which has been there for about a decade, will be replaced by a Chaia Tacos pop-up. Chaia currently has two locations in D.C. and will be bringing their vegan tacos to Bethesda Row.
