According to Montgomery County Police, “On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, beginning at approximately 7:29 p.m., MCPD officers received multiple calls for the reports of armed robberies in the area of University Blvd. and Piney Branch Rd.
According to police, “At approximately 1:06 p.m., MCP officers responded to the Safeway store in the 10500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred. (more…)

The Takoma Park Police Department is actively investigating two incidents related to a “peeping tom” that was reported on January 26, 2024, at approximately 10:00 pm. In both cases, residents in the vicinity of Flower Avenue brought attention to suspicious activities, prompting a response from law enforcement.
On January 28, at approximately 10:52 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 6300 block of Eastern Avenue for the report of an attempted armed robbery and assault.
