IHOP’s new concept, Flip’d by IHOP, will be taking over the old Asian Bistro Cafe location at 8537 Georgia Avenue between Panera and Red Lobster, according to the PetersonCos website.

The Eleanor, located at 931 Ellsworth Ave in Downtown Silver Spring will be reopening on Thursday, April 1st. The Eleanor is bar/bowling lounge that features casual dining, happy hour, mini bowling and skee ball. It first opened in late February of 2020, less than a month before Covid restrictions were put in place in the county.

Hundreds of fans packed City Place Mall (now Ellsworth Place) in Silver Spring for a free Rihanna concert in 2005. At the time, ‘Pon De Replay’ was her biggest hit.
