Maryland native and 2016 Springbrook High School graduate, Jacob Webster, was named one of Forbes magazine’s ‘30 under 30‘ in 2023 in the Arts & Style category. He joins Kendall Jenner and others as one of thirty “creating and designing the future of fashion and the arts.”
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) was “dispatched to Springbrook HS for a physical assault involving a student. One person in custody. No other students injured.”
Wootton High School in Rockville was evacuated at approximately 8:30am on Monday morning due to a bomb threat that was investigated by Montgomery County Police. The school was cleared by police and students and staff re-entered the building at approximately 9:05am. Wootton principal Douglas Nelson sent the following message to the community:

Pine Crest Elementary School (Silver Spring, Maryland) and the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) recently collaborated on an inspiring six-week Leadership Academy for students. Richard Montgomery High School Girls Volleyball has won the Maryland State Championship, defeating Leonardtown 4-1. The team finished the season with a 22-3 overall record.
