MCPS has just a pulled a $198 million permit toward the construction of the new Northwood High School at 919 University Blvd in Silver Spring (the same site the school is currently on), according to a recent Maryland Newsletters report. During construction, Northwood High School will occupy Woodward High School in Rockville starting July 2024. More renderings of Northwood available below, per MCPS.

Code Yellow / Delayed Opening – Schools and Central Offices Opening 2 hours Late Due to persistent icy conditions and significantly low temperatures, MCPS Schools and central offices will open two hours late on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
