We can now look forward to a welcome warm-up in the coming days; however, we must make a necessary adjustment to the school calendar due to the weather-related closures earlier this month.
MCPS recently shared that Emily Callaghan, a dedicated social worker at Montgomery Blair High School, has been recognized with the prestigious Martin Luther King (MLK) Peacemaker Award for her exceptional contributions to fostering a supportive environment for students. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School (13737 Wisteria Dr. Germantown, MD) evacuated the building on Thursday morning due to a fire alarm. The school sent out a message assuring the community the students and staff are safe, but moved to Lake Seneca ES due to the low temperatures.
