ParCiti Golf is taking another step toward opening its first Maryland location in Bethesda. The company first launched in Arlington, Virginia in summer 2023 and has been working to expand into Bethesda since signing a lease at the Old Georgetown Road location last year.
Production has begun on Fox’s upcoming Baywatch reboot, featuring a cast that includes Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader, and Livvy Dunne. While many know that original Baywatch star David Hasselhoff was born in Maryland, there’s another local connection tied to the iconic series that many in Montgomery County likely do not know.
Paranormal Cirque, a touring performance that blends elements of circus, theater, and horror, returns to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg from April 3-6. (more…)
Northwest High School alumna Rei Ami is now an Academy Award winner. The artist, born Sarah Yeeun Lee, helped make history Sunday night as the animated film KPop Demon Hunters took home two Oscars at the 98th Academy Awards. The film won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for the track “Golden,” performed by Rei Ami alongside EJAE and Audrey Nuna.

Organizers of the Wheaton Arts Parade are seeking temporary storage space for the large art floats used in the event after learning the sculptures must be moved from their current location by April 1. The floats currently do not have a new storage location, though the parade is scheduled to take place in September during what organizers say will be the event’s 10th anniversary year. (more…)

SMU DataArts, the National Center for Arts Research, released its 10th annual Arts Vibrancy Index ranking and placed the Frederick-Gaithersburg-Bethesda region at No. 24 among 100 core based statistical areas for 2025.
