Since the Potomac version of Real Housewives premiered, the stars of the show have been spotted filming at various places across the county. In last night’s episode, they visited Clover Boutique at 502 Main Street in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood.
As part of the Takoma Park Art Series, Interfaith Comedy will hold a free stand-up next month at the Takoma Park Community Center.
Gaithersburg’s 12,300 square foot skate park will open for Spring Break on Saturday, March 23. The park will be open all week from 12pm until sunset and will close again on Sunday, March 31st. Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company, an award-winning craft brewery and taproom located just north of Philadelphia in Croydon, PA is once again teaming with Rita’s Italian Ice, an Italian ice and custard dessert chain, to offer Rita’s Fruit Brews. Both companies serve the Mid-Atlantic and the beer will be available in Maryland.
Wootton High School’s Acappella group, The Acatonics, have done it again. Just a week after winning first place overall, along with best soloist and vocal percussionist, at SingStrong New York, The Acatonics won first place in the prestigious International Competition of High School Acappella (ICHSA) Quarter Final Competition on Saturday Feb. 10th.

The Montgomery Parks Foundation has announced five grants, totaling $85,000, that will be awarded to Montgomery Parks to support a variety of programs and projects in the county. Grants will support initiatives including art and special programming for seniors and teens.
Saturday Night Live’s Heidi Gardner will be performing at Montgomery College’s Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville on Friday, March 22. The stand-up comedy show was rescheduled from its original date of Thursday, February 15. (more…)
