A Quince Orchard High School senior has created “6th Fear Haunted Trail: Out of this World,” a free haunted trail in North Potomac that runs Halloween night and the following two evenings. Mayan Monkey Brewing Co. has opened at 227 E. Diamond Ave, in the former location of Growlers and Summit Station Brewery. While the brewery awaits its state license to brew on-site, it is offering a selection of beers from Flying Dog, Modelo, and Pacifico.

It’s that time of the year again. Today we once again share the story of “The Headless Horseman of Game Preserve Rd.” From the Montgomery County Sentinel in 1876: “As the story goes, during the Civil War a soldier was decapitated by a saber in a skirmish around what is now Game Preserve Road. After the fight, his fellow soldiers hastily buried him in an unmarked grave, even though they couldn’t find his head to bury with his body.”
