Update: Both directions have reopened
Montgomery County has sent out the following alert: “Due to icy conditions, both directions of Frederick Rd (MD 355) are blocked between Shady Grove Rd and Ridgemont Ave. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a crash on W Diamond Ave and Muddy Branch Rd in Gaithersburg at approximately 7:30pm Monday night.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call in the area of Russell Ave and Montgomery Village Ave, near the now-closed Lakeforest Mall, for a collision and “inland water rescue” after the vehicle was driven into the pond at the intersection.
The Montgomery County Planning Department presented the preliminary recommendations of the Great Seneca Plan: Connecting Life and Science to the Montgomery County Planning Board at its December 7, 2023 meeting.
