Wootton Graduate, Kelly Campbell, has been named the new President of Hulu.Per Hollywood Reporter, Campbell will become president of Hulu and will lead the streamer’s on demand and live streaming businesses as the company is further integrated into parent Disney’s direct-to-consumer group.

Campbell was previously Hulu’s Chief Marketing Officer and spent 12 years at Google in multiple senior marketing roles prior to that. She grew up in MoCo and graduated from Wootton High School in the mid 90s.


Born in Iran, Zandieh’s family moved to Gaithersburg when she was four years old. Through high school, her projected career path seemed clear. “Growing up in DC, the only available career options that I was exposed to were to be a journalist or a lawyer. I thought I wanted to be a journalist, and so I went to college [Hofstra University] and studied communications and French,” says Zandieh (Per Zandieh’s interview with the Alliance of Women Film Journalists).


After less than a year, BurgerIM has closed in Wheaton Mall.

We were first told of potential trouble for Maryland locations of the Israeli burger chain last week when Restaurant Business reported that the state of Maryland had revoked BurgerIM’s franchise rights in the state, noting that the company has not responded to the suspension the state issued in late December.
