An 18-wheeler is currently stopped, possibly while attempting to make a U-turn, at southbound Route 355 (Frederick Rd) and Professional Drive in Gaithersburg. Montgomery County Police are on scene.
Vehicles traveling on 355 are being directed to turn right onto Professional Drive and cut through the 7-Eleven parking lot in order to continue along 355. Drivers should expect major delays in the area until the truck is cleared.
Signage for Fish Taco, the popular local restaurant known for its Baja-inspired cuisine, went up earlier this year at The Shops of Potomac Valley in Gaithersburg (12121 Darnestown Rd). A representative for the family-owned business shared that interior construction is set to begin soon, with an anticipated opening sometime in spring 2026.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help in locating 22-year-old Alexis Cabrera, who has been reported missing.
According to officials, 6th District officers were dispatched at approximately 6:19pm to the 18700 block of North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg for the report of a stabbing.

Sheetz will offer a free meal and car wash to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at all of its more than 800 locations. Eligible participants can receive a free half turkey sub, regular fountain drink, and a $9 car wash (where available) with military ID or proof of service, while customers are also encouraged to donate loyalty points to the USO through the Sheetz app during November.
