The National Weather Service (NWS) has stated that a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect along and west of the Alleghenies through Friday PM/Saturday AM. First flakes of the season are possible on Friday, as light snow could fall in the morning.

Thanks to a tip from a citizen, the suspect wanted for the murder of 27-year-old Jessica Somerville is now in custody in North Carolina. With the assistance of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (NC) and the U.S. Marshals Service, 23-year-old Raheem Hawkins-Boseman of Silver Spring, was arrested late Wednesday night at a home in Leland, North Carolina.

Back in September we let you know that L&L Hawaiian Barbecue will open its first Maryland location right here in Montgomery County at 785 Rockville Pike, Suite G, in the Ritchie Center (Rockville). The restaurant will take over the space formerly occupied by Superbowl Noodle House, which permanently closed in March. Now we know the restaurant plans to open in January 2025 or sooner, according to the restaurant.

The Justice Department unsealed criminal charges against Evgenii Ptitsyn, 42, a Russian national, for allegedly administering the sale, distribution, and operation of Phobos ransomware. Ptitsyn made his initial appearance in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on November 4 after being extradited from South Korea.
