On the other hand, the Bruins have surged to prominence as the terror of Montgomery County, going 3-0 vs MoCo, dating back to last year.

Orioles Double-A Affiliate Change Name From Bowie to Chesapeake Baysox

The Bowie Baysox are the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and play in the Double-A Northeast. The team plays their home games at Prince George’s Stadium in Bowie. The Baysox have announced that the will be official renamed the Chesapeake Baysox during a special event at The Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Annapolis. “The updated team name represents a new chapter in Baysox baseball, expanding the brand to better reflect the broad and diverse community of fans who support the team across the region. The Baysox will continue to play at their home, Prince George’s Stadium, in Bowie, Maryland.”

Now Open: Maryland Holiday Lights Event Ranked In Top 15 Nationwide By Three Publications

Winter City Lights, open now through December 29th in Olney, MD, has captured national attention and high rankings for its light displays, flagship Christmas tree, and 1.5 mile illuminated path through the woods. According to Winter City Lights, the holiday lights event has already been named as a top holiday lights attraction in the country by Country Living #2, Pioneer Woman #5 and House Beautiful #15 (video preview below).

Maryland Launches Nation’s First Public Procurement Apprenticeship Program

Former MCPD Officer Sentenced For Forcibly Obstructing Law Enforcement and Other Charges During Jan. 6 Capitol Breach

A Montgomery County, MD man and former Montgomery County Police officer, 25-year-old Justin Lee, was sentenced to prison Friday after he was previously convicted of forcibly obstructing law enforcement and other charges related to his conduct during the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol.

Maryland Launches $24M Road to Careers Program to Train Workers for Transportation and Construction Jobs
