On Friday, Governor Wes Moore announced $3 million in financial assistance to help small and minority-owned businesses expand and create jobs across Maryland. The funding, provided through the Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority, is expected to support the creation of 72 new jobs and help retain 28 existing positions. (more…)


Maryland Anthony G. Brown joined a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general opposing the federal Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act, also known as the KIDS Act, arguing the legislation would weaken states’ ability to protect children online while shielding major technology companies from accountability.

Maryland hospitals received a wide range of grades in the newly released Spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, with 17 hospitals earning an “A,” 11 receiving a “B,” 12 receiving a “C,” and one hospital receiving a “D” for patient safety performance. Full list below.
