Rockville Police has released a statement regarding a collision that occurred shortly after midnight, early Saturday morning.
The two-car collision has closed southbound 355 at the mixing bowl (where Rockville Pike meets Veirs Mill) Westbound Veirs Mill Rd traffic is being diverted to northbound 355x
A collision with entrapment has closed 8200 Brink Rd. not far from Woodfield Road.
Right now we don’t have any further details, but Montgomery County Police has advised drivers to seek an alternative route and that delays should be expected.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) we’re called to the scene of a large brush fire on the 17200 blk of Darnestown Rd. in Boyds at approximately 1pm today.
Units from Frederick County assisted with extinguishing a large debris pile along with about an acre of grass on the farm in Boyds.

There are multiple injuries and casualties after a fire and explosion at a residential apartment building on the 2400 Block of Laytonsville Road in Silver Spring, according to Cheif Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services Pete Piringer.
MCFRS is currently on the scene of the 2nd alarm fire. Piringer reports that there has been a structural collapse at the building.
A collision just before midnight shut down New Hampshire Avenue in the area of Ridgecroft Dr in Brookeville early Wednesday morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services PIO Pete Piringer.
MCFRS responded to the single vehicle rollover and evaluated one patient for non life threatening injuries.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue units responded to a collision that occurred on Old Georgetown Road and Lincoln Drive at approximately 1:30am on Monday Morning.

The vehicle, which is described as a “trash truck”, was found on fire and it was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
A single vehicle collision led has closed southbound Great Seneca Highway just prior to Lakelands Boulevard, according to MCFRS PIO Pete Piringer.
The collision occurred on Great Seneca Highway between Muddy Branch Road and Kentlands Blvd/Orchard Drive and the driver self-extricated from the vehicle, which landed on its side off the road.
