Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire this morning in the 11400 block of Fairoak Drive in Silver Spring.
According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos, the fire occurred in a vacant home and was quickly contained. The homeowner was not present at the time of the incident and there were no injuries reported.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) are actively assisting in a search operation for a missing person presumed to have drowned in the Potomac River, in coordination with Frederick County authorities. The missing person is believed to have entered the water near Point of Rocks in Frederick County.
