The first suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches, to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, between the ages of 17 and 18, wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and red and black sneakers. The second suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 6-inches, to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, between the ages of 17 and 18, wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and yellow and black sneakers.


Vales was last seen at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, in the 6100 block of Montrose Road. Vales is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs approximately 180 lbs. He has salt and pepper hair with gray eyes and wears glasses. No clothing description is available. Police and family are concerned for his welfare.

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ayiana Johnson, a missing 12-year-old from Silver Spring.

Johnson was last seen on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., in the 3300 block of Teagarden Cir. Johnson is approximately 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Noah Adkins, a missing 15-year-old from Montgomery Village.

Adkins was last seen on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., on Lakeshore Dr. Adkins is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has reddish-auburn hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what he was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for his welfare.


Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 3000 block of Calverton Boulevard in Silver Spring on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Detectives have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that at approximately 12:52 p.m., an unknown suspect kicked in the front door and entered the residence. Once inside the subject put on a mask and sunglasses and proceeded to search the bedrooms and bathrooms. The subject was observed stealing personal property and putting it inside his pockets as he went from room to room. He then left the residence with the stolen property.  Detectives reviewed the surveillance video and obtained a description of the suspect.  The suspect is described as a Black male with short black hair, wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with a red circular graphic on the chest, blue jeans, black backpack and white sneakers.

Hungerford was last seen in the area of South Frederick Ave. Hungerford is 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She has pierced ears and tattoos on her ankle, chest and back. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Joseph was last seen on Monday, June 19, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring.  Joseph is approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 105 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.  Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Chavez is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue crop top, beige sweater, dark colored jeans and blue and black Jordan sneakers. Robinson was last seen on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m. on Harlequin Ter.  Robinson is approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall. She has hair that is dyed reddish-pink and brown eyes. Robinson has a tattoo on her left inner arm. She was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black sweatpants and blue Crocs. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Hassen was last seen on Monday, June 19, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., in the 1000 block of Willowleaf Way. Hassen is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Hassen was last seen wearing a gray sweater and black pants. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Per MCPD: A 32-year-old Damascus man was shot and killed on the evening of Sunday, June 18, 2023. At approximately 9:57 p.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District officers were dispatched to the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Rd., for multiple calls for a shooting that just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, James Joel Austin, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts by officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel, Austin was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no one in custody and no suspect information is available at this time. The victim has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
