During the eighth week of Montgomery County’s Summer Traffic Task Force, officers conducted 88 traffic stops resulting in 13 DUI arrests and one criminal arrest, with additional citations and warnings issued; since the task force began, there have been 110 DUI arrests and nearly 2,200 combined citations and warnings. These figures reflect only task force activity and do not include DUI arrests made by regular patrol officers. (more…)

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a Saturday night armed robbery in the 13800 block of Old Columbia Pike in Silver Spring in which three adults were stabbed. All victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspects fled the scene.
A traffic stop by Montgomery County Police in downtown Silver Spring on July 10 led to the arrest of two individuals after officers discovered a loaded handgun hidden under a car seat. (more…)
