The new Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) station replaces an outdated facility with a new, sustainably designed, energy-efficient building. Torrey Damien Moore, 34, of Silver Spring, was sentenced in Montgomery County Circuit Court to three consecutive life terms and an additional 80 years in prison following two separate murder convictions. He was found guilty in the 2022 shooting deaths of a gas station employee and his pregnant girlfriend, marking the County’s first conviction for the murder of a viable fetus. (more…)
