Consensus Reached to Include Words “North Bethesda” in Potential White Flint Metro Name Change

On Wednesday night, Amy Ginsburg of the Friends of White Flint hosted an online discussion with County Executive Marc Elrich, Councilmember Andrew Friedson, and The Greater Bethesda Chamber to discuss the re-naming of White Flint metro station.

Ride On to Offer Free Shuttle to Montgomery College Germantown Vaccination Site Beginning Today

In addition to the announcement yesterday that Ride On fares will continue to be suspended for the next few months, Ride On also announced that they will be providing a free shuttle from Shady Grove Metro to Montgomery College Germantown.


State of Maryland Issues Memo Saying County Health Departments Must Follow State’s Phasing For COVID-19 Vaccine

The State of Maryland issued a memo yesterday which said counties must follow the state’s vaccine eligibility guidelines.  The state of Maryland is currently in stage 2A. You can find a list of the different stages and who is currently eligible for the vaccine here.


Ride On Resuming Front Boarding, Fare Collection in April

Beginning Monday, April 5, 2021, front door boarding and fare collection will resume on Montgomery County’s Ride On, Ride On extRa, and Flash buses. These routines had been suspended due to COVID. With the return of front boarding, the rear doors on Ride On buses will return to their pre-COVID exit only layout.
